Personality: As a teenager, Morag was known as a wild child. Sex, drinking and drugs were nothing to her. She wasn't exactly out of control; Her grades were above average and she rarely had disciplinary problems. The thing was, she wasn't your typical Ravenclaw. Well, in some ways she was. She obsessed over her grades and rarely procrastinated on an essay. She just happened to have a life outside of school work.
In time, Maggie has become more responsible, but hardly boring. In having a child and couaching children, she doesn't do any drugs at all and rarely drinks to get drunk. She still hags out with her friends and she still goes out to party when she can find a sitter for Caleb. As for the sex, many men her age aren't so into dating women with children but she does what she needs to do to satisfy her urges. Lately with all that she's doing with work and her son, she hasn't had time to make a real relationship work. She still has minor feelings for Caleb's father and she knows that the possibility of rekindling their relationship is there but those feelings are usually hidden in the back of her mind.
Morag friendly to most people, no matter what their former house and political affiliation are. But when people do something to merit her anger, she will hold a grudge better than anyone that you will ever meet will. She isn't above spreading rumours about that person or sabotaging their relationships and their reputation. What can be seen here is that though she is a nice person to those that she likes and doesn't know, but when it comes to those that she dislikes, there is something dark lurking under the surface.
History: Kirstin MacDougal was only 17 and in the last few months of her seventh year when she discovered that she was pregnant with the daughter of her 20 year old boyfriend. When Gavin discovered, he decided that he wasn't ready to be a father and was never heard from again. The thought of terminating the pregnancy never ran through Kirstin head so she went to her parents who supported her. With the permission of Dumbledore, Kirstin continued attending Hogwarts through the remainder of her seventh year. She became the example that many parents used to discourage their teenagers from having sex but she ignored the whispers in the halls. Kirstin sat her NEWT's through the morning sickness and other symptoms, then returned home. She would have to more of an adult than any of her classmates would have to dreamof for a few more years.
Morag's first year of life was spent with her mother at her grandparents’ estate. Kirstin worked odd jobs trying to save enough money to buy her own place, leaving her daughter in the care of her parents. She found comfort in a relationship with Madam Pomphrey, whom she'd decided to make Morag's godmother for caring for her during her early pregnancy without judging her like many others did. Not being able to afford her own place just yet, she and Morag remained at home for the time being.
Early in life Morag never wanted anything that she couldn't have. The MacDougal family was a prominent Pureblood family with quite a bit of old money. Living with her grandparents included the perks of having them spoil her rotten as most grandparents will do. When she was three, however things changed dramatically. Kirstin had earned enough money from her job as a secretary at the Ministry to afford a two bedroom flat near her parents’ house. Though Kirstin appreciated her parents' help, she was determined to care for Morag more or less on her own. This meant that Morag obviously couldn't have every little thing that she wanted but she didn't mind. She was happy to get what she could. Every bit of Kirstin's pay that didn't go to paying bill and other necessary things went to getting Morag what she wanted.
It wasn't until she was around eight or nine that Morag realised that her family was different than most. If she had been sent to muggle primary school rather than tutored by her grandparents, she probably would have noticed earlier but as it is she finally saw that all her cousins and friends had fathers and she didn't. Kirstin old her that her father left and Morag went through a phase where she felt unloved and resented her mother for "driving him away" (which she now realises was ridiculous). After a few months, however, she got over it and she appreciates all her mother has given her. She now more or less hates her father for leaving her mother, as she knows how it affected her mother and that she wouldn't have to work nearly as hard as she does if he had stuck around.
When Morag's 11th birthday came and she received her owl from Hogwarts, she was quite anxious for the next year. It wasn't until she was on Hogwarts express that she realised that she knew no one on the train with her with the exception of older cousins. Most of her friends were her mother's friends' children whom were all younger than her. Her only comfort was knowing that her godmother, Madam Pomphrey, would be there. Morag found that soon after she was sorted into Ravenclaw (Just as her mother said that her father was, but she chooses to ignore this fact. Her mother was a Gryffindor) she made quite a few friends within her own house and others in her year. Her pureblood kept her out of trouble with the Slytherins but her neutral status (Though she leant toward supporting those fighting Voldy) on the war issue allowed her to make friends with others.
In her sixth year at Hogwarts, Morag started up a cheerleading squad to help cheer on the Quidditch teams. It was the perfect sport for Morag and today she caoches the house squad, though she lives in Hogsmeade rather than in the castly. After all, it is hard to have a three year old running around Hogwarts. Morag had Caleb Ainsley when she was 20 with her current boyfriend. At the time when they realized she was pregnant, they first decided to marry, though they realized that rushing into a marriage wasn't the best for anyone.
Physical Description: One of the first things that people think of (appearance wise) when they think of Morag is her hair. It's likely the most noticeable thing about her because of its red color. It's thick and somewhat wavy and often gets her confused as a Weasley when in actuality it comes from her Gaelic ancestry. It matches her relatively pale skin that usually burns or freckles rather than tans in the sun. Her dark blue eyes accent the rest of her features well, though she always has wished they were a bit lighter. Morag wears make up without caking it on.
Morag's pride and joy are quite honestly her breasts and she isn't all that shy about showing "her girls" off. Low cut tops are usually her style. As a teenager when she was drunk, she would be the first one to strip down or flash someone, but now that she's an adult and she has a son, she holds off on the alcohol. Still she's pretty comfortable in her own skin. She tends to show off her long legs (She stands at 5'10") in short shorts and short skirts, even as a mother. Many people might consider her dressing a bit trashy, but she just sees it as being comfortable in her body.
